this was the first mothers day rosa had without her daughter there. exactly 1 year passed by. she held the last card tight, thinking about lily, she couldnt get it off her mind. she was only 6 when she left. rosa started crying. she could remember when lily came into the bedroom, with a big smile with the 2 front teeth missing. oh how she used to wake up and see that little girl smiling. she had always loved her and she had told her so many times. she got dressed, and left within a few minutes. it took her only 30 minutes to reach the grave. she just stood there, just looking at where her daughter layed. all she could think of was 'what if i was there to stop it' and 'why couldnt it be me who had gone?' she didnt have the answer to it but she knew what to do.
she took the flowers she had and layed them on the ground. then out of her purse, she took out the necklace that lily had gave her when she was 4. she put it around her neck, and then left but before leaving she whispered to that little grave  "im sorry lily. i wish i would've been there. i cant beleive i let that happen to you." she started crying, then she got up. she looked back, then got into her car and left.
